Getting there by car

Leave the A2 motorway at junction 70 in the direction of Magdeburg-Zentrum and join the B189 and B71 (coming from the A14: leave the motorway at junction 5 in the direction of Magdeburg-Sudenburg and join the B71). Leave the B71 at junction Hauptbahnhof in the direction of Zentrum. Turn right—approx. 440 yards (400 metres) after having passed the railway bridges—at the Ernst-Reuter-Allee/Breiter Weg crossing. THE GREEN CITADEL® is located to the left. Turn left at the next crossing, continue for 90 yards (80 metres) and turn left once more. Parking places are situated round about the place in front of the Cathedral (Domplatz).


Coming from the main railway station

THE GREEN CITADEL® is about ten minutes walking distance from the main station. Leave the station through the main entrance (Willy-Brand-Platz) turning to the right. Follow the tramlines for about 330 yards (300 metres) onto Hasselbachstraße and cross Otto-von-Guericke-Straße. Pass through the pedestrian zone (Leiterstraße) until the end. You’ll leave right in front of THE GREEN CITADEL® OF MAGDEBURG.


Parking places

Parking places are situated close-by THE GREEN CITADEL® OF MAGDEBURG on Breiter Weg and Domplatz. On Sundays, and from 18:00 during the week, they are free of charge. To drop off or pick up groups, coaches are allowed to stop in front of THE GREEN CITADEL® and are advised to use the parking places at Domplatz or Schleinufer near the monastery Kloster Unser Lieben Frauen.
